Ahhh!

This doesn't have any real purpose with my topic. Still, isn't it the nicest view out side my porch. if you look closely you can see the faint double rainbow to the right of the photo.

Fair Trade

I have been trying to purchase more fair trade products. It is definitely a more socially conscious option. There is a fair trade store in my little town that is practically across the street. So I grab my canvas bag and walk over there when I need to find a present for someone (or a splurge for myself). They have items from a greater gift and Ten Thousand Villages. I have ordered online from both before and had good service. The websites are http://www.greatergift.org/ and http://www.tenthousandvillages.com/ both great places to check out.

Sassy and Green

This is a look into a small town girl's conversion to greenness. Though I must say I hate the term green, I am worried about the faddish quality to the 'green' movement. I have been slowly trying to incorporate more of an environmental life style since early in college. For me, caring for the environment comes from my Christian beliefs. I am appalled that Christians are not more at the forefront of this issue. We believe that God created the earth and all that is in it. We also believe that God placed humankind in charge of the planet. Yet we treat it like a disposable item rather than a great gift from Our God. Hopefully the blog aspect with help push me to more and more of an Eco friendly lifestyle. Comments and suggestions are welcome.
